Did you know that over the past few years Google has encountered several privacy issues? One of the most criticized Google service is it’s Street View. Google Street View was criticized when it was discovered that Google was photographing people up close without warning. A few years later it was revealed that Google’s Street View cars had been collecting information people sent over unencrypted Wi-Fi networks.
In a 2007 report, Privacy International ranked Google as “Hostile to Privacy” the lowest ranking on the report. And, when Google Buzz launched in 2010, users immediately criticized the “opt-out” social network for revealing Gmail users’ contacts to other contacts.

Google bypassed mobile Safari’s default privacy settings to track users in ways they didn’t want to be tracked.
Google began promoting its own products over more relevant ones in Google SERPs.
Google falsely claimed that it couldn’t effectively index and rank Twitter.
Google knowingly accepted illegal advertisements from Canadian online pharmacies.
Google paid bloggers for promoting Google Chrome browser.
