Sponsored Search is a form of search engine marketing
It enables you to reach prospective customers at the precise moment they’re searching on Yahoo.com for what your business offers.
Unlike free site URL submission services that are not guaranteed, Sponsored Search ensures that your business gets listed in Yahoo! Search.
You control how much you spend each day
With Yahoo! Search Marketing, you pay only when your ads are clicked. And you can set daily spending limits to help you stay within your budget.
You can limit your ads to specific geographic regions
If your business sells or ships to certain regions only, you can target your ads to the states or cities and surrounding areas that matter most to you.
You don’t look for customers. They find you!
Unlike other marketing options, Sponsored Search connects you with customers who are actively seeking what your business offers. You can achieve multiple objectives — including acquiring new customers, increasing brand awareness, or influencing purchasing decisions — and it’s easy to measure results.
It’s more flexible than other advertising channels
With Yahoo! Search Marketing, there are no long-term commitments. You can run different ads at the same time to easily find which marketing message or offer works best. You can update existing ads or put new ads online within minutes. You pay only when your ads are clicked. Other than a $30 deposit, there are no other setup or monthly fees.
You’ll reach a highly engaged audience
Sponsored Search provides you with a unique Internet marketing opportunity: to promote your business on the Web’s most popular destination. Yahoo! attracts 51 million active Internet users every day.
You pay only when your ad is clicked
Sponsored Search is based on a pay-per-click pricing model. You set your bid — or the maximum amount you’re willing to pay each time your ad is clicked. Bids start at $0.10.
You can set spending limits according to your budget
You can specify daily campaign and account spending limits to help you stay within your budget. Use the budgeting and forecasting tools within your account to help determine effective keyword and ad group bids.
Set a deposit amount that supports your daily spend
To open a Sponsored Search account, you will need to determine a deposit amount. Although $30 is the minimum deposit required, for maximum convenience and campaign continuity we recommend that you choose a deposit amount that is equal to 30 times your budgeted daily spend. Your credit card will be charged the amount you set as your deposit each time your account balance drops below three times your daily budget.
Target Customers by Geographic Location: Display your ad to customers throughout the entire market, or select specific regions or cities.
Choose Keywords Related to Your Business: Enter words or phrases related to the products and services your business provides.
Tell Us How Much You’d Like to Spend: Specify your daily spending limit and maximum bid.
Create Your Ad: Write the ad that will be displayed to prospective customers.
Activate or Save Your Ad: Review your ad and activate it by entering your billing information, or save it until you are ready to activate.
Sign up now for a Yahoo! Search Marketing, account and receive FREE promotional credits. Click here to get your free credits.
Each search marketing account requires a non-refundable $30 initial deposit. But your deposit is adjustable against your initial click charges.
There is no limit to the number of accounts an advertiser can fund with a single credit card or PayPal, account subject to availability of funds. Unfortunately Yahoo!’s terms don’t allow you to open multiple accounts using the same promotional link/code. Once they locate the account(s) that were opened with the same promotional link/code and same contact/billing information those accounts will be taken offline for promotional code abuse.
Yes, you may use a different promo code to create a separate account.
Promotional Credits are used as a jumping off point for new advertisers/businesses to get started in using pay per click services. The promotional credit will be shown in the Billing Transaction Detail report as an Adjustment. To view this report, log into your account and click the Reports tab. Click the Billing Transaction Detail Report and look for the Adjustment line item.
You can select the date range by clicking on the calendar icon located towards the top right of the page.

What are you using for your redirect links? Are you creating a php for every link with header redirect?
Yes, Mr. Lazy Affiliate I’m using PHP Redirect to redirect most of the links.
I am starting to do that as well, I was looking for a WP plugin that would automatically do it but couldn’t get them to work correctly. So now I have a redir.php file with:
if($_GET['link'] = “google”){
$url = “http://www.google.com”
}
if($_GET['link'] = “digitalpoint”){
$url = “http://www.digitalpoint.com”
}
header(“Location: $url”);
etc.
saves having to create a new file everytime, I just have to add a couple of lines to the redir.php
