First off, how about a user defined threshold of the number of clicks per IP address allowed in a 24 hour period? That would squash click bombing and render it useless. Another golden opportunity is to share some of the click data with the publishers. Have someone stopping by everyday clicking and leaving right away? No problem. Block them in htaccess! Seriously, Google can do a lot more to help publishers take responsibility for their sites. Google can do a lot more to give publishers control over invalid clicks.
