Title is one of the most important factors to consider when writing a post. Only your title can determine whether your visitors will read your post or not. There are several ways that your post could be stumble upon – may be via search engine, RSS feeds, link from other post or could be via social media sites. So only an effective title would grab people’s attention and can be reason to read it. That’s the reason you must spend some time thinking on how you can make your title special. All your effort of writing post may go for toss if you don’t have an effective title!
· Benefit – Your title must tell readers that there is a benefit of reading the post.
· Controversy – Reader usually get excited to read the post that has some kind controversy or debate. Although not suitable for all blog post!
· Question – Any title that has question will entice reader to visit and check the post and even comment on the same.
· Personalization – Most of the post that is personalized works best. For example using “I” and “You” have great impact on visitors.
· Keywords – Don’t forget search engines, though you write only for readers it is search engine that will help you drive traffic. So use keywords in the title.
· Impressive words – Words like ‘Interesting’, ‘Secrets’, ‘Tips’, ‘Warning’, ‘easy’ will encourage readers to check the post and more likely to come back if the post is really useful.
· Funny – Don’t use funny titles if they leave your reader only confused. But works great if they are just funny and give readers a smile!
Just take your time to write blog titles. The most time you spend on getting the title, the more effective your title will be. Don’t just post the title that comes in your brain first.

I have horrible titles. My site is just a bunch of lists and I end up just pulling random things that people have used to find my blog as titles.
I think the last point. funny title would be the best one to draw a lot fo traffic.
