How To Backup Your Internet Explorer Passowords

I was looking for a way to backup all my Internet Explorer Passwords. Today, I have got a solution for the same. Many thanks to Google Search.

Don’t Re-enter Your Password With Internet Explorer (IE)

Most of them may not know this – Internet Explorer could save your beloved passwords for different web pages, you are nowhere required to keep re-entering it. On the other hand, if your computer is as well shared with other users, such as family members, or you are frightened about security system, you could configure Internet Explorer not to save your passwords.

You could have this done with Internet Explorer 7 by using the below given simple steps.

  1. Open Internet Explorer in your system.

  2. Click on Tools and pick Internet Options.

  3. Choose the on hand Content tab.

  4. Click the Settings button in AutoComplete.

  5. Clear the check box next to the User names and passwords on forms option.

  6. Click OK.

Once this setting has been done, you are essential to re-enter your password every time you move to a fresh Web page as requires one.

Backup Your Internet Explorer Passwords

Internet Explorer stores the passwords here: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft
\InternetExplorer\IntelliForms\SPW

Open the Start menu click Run.
Write “regedit” and press Enter.
Click one time on the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder.
Click one time on the Software folder.
Click one time on the Microsoft folder.
Click one time on the Internet Explorer folder.
Click one time on the IntelliForms folder.
Click one time on the SPW folder.
You will now see a cryptic list in the right window.
You have already selected the SPW folder
Click File and choose Export.
Give it an appropriate name. Don’t call it passwords,
but use a name you will remember.
To restore the passwords just, right-click the .REG file and select Merge.
