I think Hotmail deactivates your account only if it is inactive for over 90 days and not 30 days. But if you activated that account recently then you should check your mail with in 45 days. Once it is checked then you have 90 days. Also, Gmail also have a limit. Gmail wants you to check your mail once in every 6 months. Or they will deactivate/delete your account (if am not wrong).

And yes its good to see that Gmail is moving to 5 GB.

		<description>That would explain why I went from about 53% used to 35%. I love the storage that gmail offers although I'm getting a bit more nervous about the privacy implications. Maybe some of that slashdot paranoia is rubbing off on me...</description>
