Yahoo! Kickstart is a professional social networking site with a distinct purpose: to connect college students, recent grads, professionals and alumni to discover internships and jobs, or get career advice and mentorship.
Unlike other social networks Yahoo! Kickstart allows students to create and maintain a professional profile, browse company profiles and network with their peers, professors, alumni and potential employers. Kickstart is Yahoo!’s answer to LinkedIn a famous business oriented social networking website.

Yahoo Kickstarts Business Networking Wars
Yahoo may be too late to the social networking game to attract anything like the 50 million members who call Facebook home or the 200 million nestled on MySpace. Still, the Internet portal aims to carve out its own niche with Kickstart, a job-hunting network that targets recent college grads. It will be vying primarily with the well-established LinkedIn network for professionals.
Kick-start your job search with new Yahoo social network
For many college students, “submitting resumes to job sites or companies seems like a black hole,” Gatz noted. “Enter Kickstart. It’s based on the premise that everyone does have a network: the school you went to, the frat/sorority you were in, the professional/interest group you are in, the companies you interned with or worked at. Kickstart makes it easy to create and browse that kind of network.”

As you might have noticed Google has updated the PageRank for all websites few days back. I’ve got a PageRank (PR) of 3 from 0. And I achieved this in less than 3 months of link building and of course also by updating the blog regularly. Before this recent PageRank update I’ve checked several Future PageRank Tools and all of them predicted a PR of 0 itself for this blog as according to them I didn’t have enough backlinks. But I got a PR of 2. Although a PageRank of 2 is not really great I consider this as a big achievement as I worked less than three months. So when building your site forget about this Future PageRank Tools and start building a site with quality content.
No one can predict about the next PageRank Update. It’s anybody’s guess. But we can estimate that from previous PageRank Updates.
From these updates one can estimate that Google updates PageRank approximately every three months. But in fact Google took almost six months for this recent October updates.
If you want a PageRank in the next update then you have to start today. Now, it’s the right time to start building your website as Google updated the PageRank few days back. So that if you have a quality website then Google will give you a PageRank in the very next update itself. Backlinks generated within few weeks of the next PageRank update are not counted. If you start your link building today then Google will count that and will be used to calculate your PageRank.
The easiest way to get a few free backlinks is by submitting your comments on DoFollow blogs. So all you have to do is to submit your comments on these DoFollow blogs and Google will count that as a backlink to your site. Make sure you write something useful to the users or the blog owners will delete your comment. You can leave your comments more than once. So leave a comment each time you visit those blogs. These free backlinks alone can get you a PageRank of at least one in the next PR update.
The next step to Link Building is to submit your site to free Web Directories. You can start your directory submission right from here AddURL.nu: Submit your website to 850+ Search Engine Friendly Web Directories. Add URL.nu have a list of over 875 Free Web Directories ranging from a PageRank of 0 to a PageRank of 7. They also offers a paid service which costs a one time $275 so that AddURL.nu will manually submit your link to all those 875 listed directories. That’s 800+ backlinks. Don’t go for their paid service if you can do it by yourself.
Don’t think that your site will be listed on all those 875 directories. But it’s safe to assume that you will listed on half of them and that’s not bad either. That’s enough to get a PageRank of at least 3 in the next Google Update provided you have submitted your comments on all those DoFollow blogs.

My favorite Web Browser is of course Microsoft Internet Explorer (now Windows Internet Explorer) due to it’s aesthetic appeal. It’s the world’s most popular Web Browser. But in fact Firefox is gaining it’s market share. According to Market Share by Net Applications, 14.88% of Internet users used Mozilla Firefox in September 2007, with 14.42% using version 1.5 or higher. I guess it’s because of Firefox’s simple design and because of less crash. I’m using Internet Explorer 7 on my Windows Vista and my IE crashes often it’s really not as reliable as Mozilla FireFox.
Now, let me tell you why I hate Mozilla Firefox. First of all I hate Firefox because of its look and interface. It lacks a professional touch. And then I don’t like the name "Mozilla Fifefox" as a brand name. Now, consider Internet Explorer 7 it has got an amazing look and I Love the brand name "Internet Explorer" which is a perfect name for a Web Browser. Again, Mozilla Firefox don’t have navigational sounds. It means it do not generate a ‘Click’ sound when we click a hyperlink.
Today I find a solution to one of the above problems and I take this opportunity to share that with you. I just discovered an AddOn for Firefox called Navigational Sounds which generates the ‘Click’ sound when you click a hyperlink.

Here is a list of over 250+ DoFollow Blogs. Don’t know what a DoFollow Blog is? DoFollow Blogs are Weblogs that have DoFollow Plugin installed. DoFollow Plugin removes the “NoFollow” tag from the comments. It means that if you submit a comment with your home page to these blogs then Search Engines will count that link as a back link. If you don’t use ‘DoFollow’ Plugin then search engines will ignore those links.
When submitting comments to these blogs please write some relevant and useful content. Don’t Spam! If you submit just one comment to all of them then it gives you more than 250 back links to your Website/Blog. And these 250 back links alone can get you a PR of 1 assuming you have quality search engine friendly articles.
