</script></p>
<p align="justify">1) Increase your site&#8217;s link popularity by increasing your internal and incoming links. </p>
<ul>
<li>
<div align="justify">Internal links &#8211; Cross link all your sites and important pages within each site. This will maximize the PageRank of all your pages within each web site. </div>
</li>
<li>
<div align="justify">Incoming links that you control &#8211; Create several small web sites related to your main site. Each site should only consist of a few pages. Then cross link them all together using the most important keywords. Don&#8217;t forget to include links back to the main site. </div>
</li>
<li>
<div align="justify">Incoming links that you don&#8217;t control: </div>
<ul>
<li>
<div align="justify">Ask sites that link to your competitors to link to your site. To find out which sites are linking to your competitors, visit a search engine and enter, &quot;link:&quot; followed by the competitors&#8217; domain name. <br />For example: </div>
<blockquote><p align="justify"><code>link:www.yourcompetitor.com</code></p>
</blockquote>
</li>
<li>
<div align="justify">Exchange links with sites listed in the same category as yours in the major web directories, such as the <a href="http://search.yahoo.com/">Yahoo! Directory</a> and the <a href="http://dmoz.org/">Open Directory</a>. </div>
</li>
<li>
<div align="justify">Find sites that accept site submissions. Visit your favorite search engine and search for: </div>
<blockquote><p align="justify"><code>&quot;add url&quot; &quot;your keywords&quot;</code></p>
</blockquote>
<div align="justify">Also try searching for the actual submission page using its page name. <br />For example: </div>
<blockquote><p align="justify"><code>addurl.html, addsite.html, addlink.html, etc.</code></p>
</blockquote>
</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
<p align="justify">2) Include a TITLE tag as the first META tag, directly after the HEAD tag.<code> <br /></code>3) Try to avoid <em>stop words</em> in your TITLE tag. Stop words (a, an, and, but, he, her, his, i, in, it, of, on, or, she, the, etc.) are common words and characters ignored by some search engines to enhance the speed and relevancy of their search results. <br />4) Include a META DESCRIPTION tag, directly after the TITLE tag. Include the most important keyword phrase for the web page as close to the beginning of the description as possible. <br />5) If you use a META REFRESH tag, make sure it is set to refresh after 30 seconds. </p>
<blockquote><p align="justify"><code></code></p>
</blockquote>
<p align="justify">Some search engines consider pages that refreshes under 30 seconds as spam. I recommend using a JavaScript redirect tag, if you require a quicker page refresh. <br />6) Remove all other meta tags (author, date, etc.), unless you&#8217;re sure they are absolutely necessary. The only meta tags I ever use are the META DESCRIPTION and occasionally the META REFRESH tag. <br />7) Include a site map with links to all your pages. This will help search engines find and index all your pages. </p>
<ul>
<li>
<div align="justify">Limit the number of links on a web page to 50. </div>
</li>
<li>
<div align="justify">If you have more than 50 links, limit your links to your most important pages. </div>
</li>
<li>
<div align="justify">Include text on the page as some search engines, such as AltaVista, have been known to kick out links only pages. </div>
</li>
</ul>
<p align="justify">8) Use one or more header tags in your main page body and include your most important keyword phrase/s. </p>
<ul>
<li>
<div align="justify">Use large header tags, such as </div>
</li>
<li>
<div align="justify">Use Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to alter the appearance of the header tags to fit the look and feel of your site. For more information read this <a href="http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp">CSS tutorial</a>. </div>
</li>
</ul>
<p align="justify">9) Check the first couple of lines of the first paragraph to see if it&#8217;s appropriate to be used as a description of your page. Many search engines utilize the first couple of sentences of the body text as the search results description, instead of the contents of the META DESCRIPTION tag. <br />10) Try to achieve an overall keyword density of 1-2%. <br />11) Try to achieve a minimum word count of 300 and a maximum of 750 words on each page. <br />12) Register a domain name with the exact keyword phrase you wish to target, using hyphens to separate the keywords. <br />For example, if the keyword phrase is &quot;search engine rankings,&quot; then register: <br />search-engine-rankings.com <br />If the domain you want is unavailable, either try a different extension, such as .NET, .INFO, or .US, or add a keyword to the end (preferential) or beginning of the domain. <br />13) Name directories after your keyword phrases, using hyphens or underscores to separate the keywords. <br />For example, if an important keyword phrases is, &quot;search engine rankings,&quot; name your directory: <br /><code>www.yoursite.com/search-engine-rankings/ or... <br />www.yoursite.com/search_engine_rankings/</code> <br />14) Name web pages after your most important keyword phrase. Separate the keywords using hyphens or underscores. <br />For example, if the keyword phrase is &quot;search engine rankings,&quot; then name the page: <br /><code>search-engine-rankings.html or... <br />search_engine_rankings.html <br /></code>15) Name your graphic files after keyword phrases. Again, separate the keywords using hyphens or underscores.<code> <br /></code>16) Include an ALT (alternative text) atrribute in image tags. Include the most important keyword phrases.<code> <br /></code>17) If you use an image map, include HTML links, as some search engines do not follow image map links. Plus image maps do not offer search engines any link text to index. So, try to avoid the use of image maps as they do not help with your search engine optimization efforts. <br />18) Use the longer or plural version of a keyword, where possible. Word stemming is a concept used by some search engines to return search results that include keywords that extend beyond what you searched for. <br />For example, a search with the keyword &quot;engine&quot; might return results for, &quot;engines,&quot; &quot;engineers,&quot; and &quot;engineering.&quot; If someone searches for the longer version of a word and your page only uses the short version, then your page will be excluded from the list of possible results. <br />19) Sprinkle a few uncommon keywords and synonyms in your main body text. Less popular keywords have less competition in the search engines. So your web page is has a greater chance of being listed amongst the top results. <br />20) Do not repeat keywords or keyword phrases over and over again on a web page, as this would be considered as spam by search engines. <br />21) Keep your pages as close to the root domain as possible. Do not set up more than 3 directory levels. <br />For example: <br /><code>www.yoursite.com/index.html (1st level - excellent) <br />www.yoursite.com/html/index.html (2nd level - Good) <br />www.yoursite.com/html/marketing/index.html (3rd level - OK) <br />www.yoursite.com/html/marketing/search/index.html (Too many levels down - search engines will find it difficult to find and index pages this far down) <br /></code>22) If you have a persistent (on most or all of your pages) navigation bar at the side of each page, your table is almost certainly set up in such a way that it pushes your page&#8217;s body text down the HTML document. Search engines give prominence to keywords nearer the beginning of a HTML document. So, design your HTML table so that the navigation bar is placed after your main body text. <br />23) Move Javascript code to a separate file, or the end of the HTML document after your closing BODY or HTML tag. Yes, this technique actually works! <br />Read related articles listed in the left. <br /><code></code>This procedure also reduces your file size, and therefore your download time. In addition, it allows you to reuse the code on other pages by simply link to the JavaScript file. Both of these techniques will move your important body text nearer to the top of the HTML document. <br />24) Although not always practical, you may like to try naming your cascading style sheet tags after keywords. <br />For example: <br /><code>.search { <br />color: #ff0000; <br />} <br /></code>25) Use Robots.txt files instead of Robots meta tags, as some search engine robots do not recognize the tag. Visit <a href="http://www.robotstxt.org/wc/robots.html">The Web Robots Pages</a> for more information. <br />26) Do not use font size one (1) text as the default text size. Many search engines consider tiny text to be spam. It&#8217;s OK to use some font size one text. <br />27) Do not participate in link farms or link exchange programs. Search engines consider link farms and link exchange programs as spam, as they have only one purpose &#8211; to artificially inflate a site&#8217;s link popularity, by exchanging links with other participants. <br />Do not confuse link farms and link exchange programs with reciprocal linking. Reciprocal linking is the exchange of links with individual sites, and is certainly an accepted technique for improving your site&#8217;s link popularity.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;;">I have been using Google Adwords Vs Yahoo Search Marketing for quite some time now. Of course there is lot of different stuff with both the giant but I came across two major different between Google Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing that could turn into a big discussion! </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;;"></p>
<p><!--adsense--></p>
<p>1. Quality Score:</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;;">Google’s Quality Score is on an individual keyword that you choose and is obtained at time when search takes place. You can also have low and high QS keywords in same ad group. With Google the broad match and phrase match keywords show you only average Quality Scores. Only the perfect match can show you even the close real QS, yet it is average since QS is based on things that occur during search. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;;">Yahoo’s Quality Score are only to appear at the ad group level. This simply means that everything in the ad group is a backup for QS. Any bad QS keyword could easily drag down the others. Yahoo suggests that they organize ad group just like Google but then split up the ad groups by the number of traffic. This means with Yahoo I get 3 times as many ad groups than I get Google! </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;;">2. Match Type.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;;">Google Phrase – Broad, Negative Phrase, Exact, Negative Broad, Negative Exact. Broad is a wild card for Google that would locate all keywords with any of the keywords in your phrase plus synonyms, singulars, plurals and anything before and after the term. Exact is just the exact nothing more or nothing less and Negatives also work the same way. If you wish to put in a singular then you have to put in singular as well. In case you go for negative match you will not have exact match for the same term. Google believes that a plural and singular keywords to be two separate words. Negatives could be done at the ad group and Campaign level!</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;;">Yahoo Phrase – Advanced, Standard, Excluded Words. Here Yahoo does not have any exact match. Advanced is simply like Google Broad and even standard is just like Google broad. But with Yahoo if you put in negative keyword match it would not be excluded if you have it as advanced or standard match. In case you put singular it would exclude the plural. Not like Google, Yahoo singular and plural keywords to be the same keywords and cannot be separated. Negatives could be done at the account level and ad group level only! </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: &quot;Verdana&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;;">Of course there are many other differences like geo targeting, campaign settings and more, but these 2 I found it not very obvious in my understanding. However, if you are a newbie then I would say go try out Yahoo first because it is comparatively easier to get your ads placed then Adwords. Google AdWords is capable of delivering a lot of traffic, but their &#8220;quality score&#8221; formula makes it difficult for some people to get their ads shown on Google. Ensure you have a good stats program so you would know what the traffic does once it enters your site.</span></p>

<p><!--adsense#NP--></p>
<p align="justify">Internet Search Engine Marketing or simply Search Engine Marketing (SEM) is a wider term and comprises lot. Actually, this concept is yet not clear even for people with a great deal of experience. The good part about Search engine marketing is you can learn it step by step and once you get the complete idea, you become expert in driving highly targeted visitor to your website. I can offer you a simple guide to Search Engine Marketing, though it is particularly meant for beginners, it could as well be effective reference source for more advanced search engine marketers.</p>
<p align="justify">Basically, <strong><a target="_blank" href="http://www.minterest.com/category/internet-marketing/search-engine-marketing/">Search Engine Marketing</a></strong> is an act of marketing your website through search engines. You may be expecting to get high traffic or better rank in any organic listings or combination of both; you can achieve all the search engine-related activities through this program. In other words, it is a techniques used to make your site visible on search engines and directories for the purpose of gaining traffic targeted. This further comprises search engine optimization, directory submission, pay-per-clicks advertisement, Affiliate program and other keyword related advertising. This is the most necessary part of online business today.</p>
<p align="justify">Why do people go for search engine marketing is because, though it is just a part of online marketing strategy it can account for about 80 to 90 percentage of your overall web traffic. Note – this is not a type of Internet Marketing. The latter term is wider and referred to marketing your product or services on the internet. Internet marketing techniques may include search engine marketing, display advertising, e-mail marketing, affiliate marketing, interactive advertising, blog marketing, and viral marketing. Hence Search Engine Marketing, or SEM, is a form of Internet Marketing, which seeks to encourage your websites by increasing their visibility in the Search Engine result pages (SERPs).</p>
<p align="justify">Recent study exposed the information that about 80% of the new visitor to website appear only from major search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN and other. During 2006, the advertisers in North America spent about US$9.4 billion on search engine marketing. To name a few, the largest SEM sellers are Google <a target="_blank" href="http://www.minterest.com/category/google/adsense/"><strong>AdSense</strong></a>/<strong><a target="_blank" href="http://www.minterest.com/category/google/adwords/">AdWords</a></strong>, <a target="_blank" href="http://www.minterest.com/category/yahoo/search-marketing/">Yahoo Search Marketing</a> and <a target="_blank" href="http://www.minterest.com/category/microsoft/adcenter/">Microsoft AdCenter</a>. When compare to 2006 data SEM is developing much faster than traditional adverting. It is an extremely important fact for each website developer to make sure that their search engine exposure assists the visitors to locate them appropriately!</p>

<p align="justify">Today I am going to share a few tips about Microsoft adCenter (formerly MSN adCenter). I believe that all the information written in this article is true, correct and complete.</p>
<p align="justify"><strong>I.</strong> Microsoft adCenter (formerly MSN adCenter) is Microsoft&#8217;s online advertising platform with an estimated audience of 99 million potential customers.</p>
<p align="justify"><strong>II.</strong> According to Microsoft website MSN/Live Search is converting users into buyers at a higher rate than Google or Yahoo and it&#8217;s correct too as from my own experience I have found that Microsoft adCenter offers a better conversion rates than Yahoo! Search Marketing or Google AdWords. There were times when my conversions were over 10%.</p>
<p align="justify"><strong>III.</strong> Among Yahoo, Google, and MSN the traffic quality of MSN Search or Live Search is the best. It means you get more Return On your Investment (ROI).</p>
<p align="justify"><strong>IV.</strong> The whole Sign Up process is pretty easy with simple and powerful user interface. I must say that Google AdWord&#8217;s interface is the best of all as it&#8217;s very simple and easy to use and Yahoo! Search Marketing&#8217;s user interface is the worst of all as it&#8217;s very complicated with too many features.</p>
<p align="justify"><strong>V.</strong> The customer support is not that great but again it&#8217;s far better than Yahoo! Search Marketing. Sometimes it takes a week to get a reply from the customer support at Yahoo! Search Marketing.</p>
<p align="justify"><strong>VI.</strong> Pay less for quality traffic. It&#8217;s one of the biggest advantages of MSN adCenter over Google AdWords. adCenter&#8217;s bid rates are much lower than that of Google. The Minimum bid required per click is 0.05$. However the number of clicks are significantly lower than that of Google, it&#8217;s because of Google&#8217;s 60% market share in search market.</p>
<p align="justify"><strong>VII.</strong> The activation fee is just $5. But unlike Google AdWords your Promotional Coupon Credit doesn&#8217;t apply to the setup fee of $5 which is required to open a new adCenter account. But I think it&#8217;s better than Yahoo&#8217;s $30 initial deposit (it&#8217;s not setup fee).</p>
<p align="justify"><strong>VIII.</strong> At this point of time Microsoft adCenter accepts only payments via Credit Card. adCenter don&#8217;t accept PayPal but they do accept some <em><strong>Virtual Credit Cards and Gift Cards</strong></em>. I have recently tried to create an account using a Virtual Credit Card. The Sign Up process went smoothly but after a couple of hours I got an email message from adCenter team that they were unable to process my credit card. But I have used that same virtual card when I first used adCenter. Now they are not accepting the same I guess they improved their credit card verification process. That&#8217;s the reason why they are declining my physical credit card which I have used to sign up for two or three accounts.</p>
<p align="justify"><strong>IX. </strong>I have read in some forum/blog that we can create up to 3 Microsoft adCenter accounts using the same credit card and earn coupon credits. Unfortunately it&#8217;s wrong you can&#8217;t Sign Up for multiple accounts to get the Promotional Credits. However it may work for you but it&#8217;s against Microsoft&#8217;s terms. Microsoft&#8217;s clearly says that <em>&#8220;Promotional credit is valid only for new advertisers opening a new account with Microsoft adCenter&#8221;.</em></p>
<p align="justify"><strong>X. </strong>The Microsoft adCenter Promotional Credits are valid only for individuals from United States. But I&#8217;ve heard that people were successful in creating an adCenter account with promo codes using <em>fake US addresses</em>. In fact I have done that myself some time back when MSN adCenter was launched with their $200 Promo Codes, I managed to get over $600 promo credits.</p>
<p align="justify"><strong><em>Promotional Credits are valid only for 90 Days</em></strong>. It means that if you didn&#8217;t redeemed your credits with in 90 days then it will expire so that they will charge your credit card for any clicks generated. So if you don&#8217;t want your credit card to be charged then make sure that you review your campaigns often and pause the campaign once it nears $75 (assuming that as the promotional credit).</p>
<p align="justify">Unlike Yahoo Search Marketing the Promotional Credits in adCenter are credited to the account immediately. So that your ads will go live once your account is verified. It takes less than 12 hours if you complete the sign up during day time.</p>
<p align="center"><a href="http://www.microsoftaffiliates.net/t.aspx?kbid=4180&#038;p=http%3a%2f%2fwww.startadcenter.com%2fgetstarted%2f&#038;m=16&#038;cid=7&#038;i=44"><img border="0" src="http://www.microsoftaffiliates.net/b.aspx?id=4180&#038;mm=16&#038;img=250x250.jpg&#038;cid=7"/></a></p>

In general terms, Search Engine Marketing is more or less takes in most kinds of online business marketing. It is undoubtedly the most successful way to build-in traffic for any website. We just need more and more people flowing on our site, however there are several different ways to go about in search engine marketing.</p>

Be aware it is also very expensive and could lead you to disaster if you don&#8217;t know to play in. With <a href="http://www.minterest.com/category/google/adwords/" target="_blank">Google AdWords</a> you will be placing small ad on search engine that will be appearing in sponsored search. Here you really require being careful as your ROI could be atrocious you are do not have a watch on it. But once you know to play with it then you can earn decent income out of it. You can work with PPC just that do not completely rely upon it for your marketing needs.</p>
<p align="justify">Second best method for search engine marketing arena is search engine optimization. With &#8220;search engine optimization&#8221;, the aim is to get your website ranked in the desired top 10 in various search engine results for given particular keywords. Entire numbers of clicks you get are absolutely free that makes your ROI very high. The problem with SEO is that it might take little time for getting such rankings. Any fresh website could expect to wait 8 to 9 months before even getting a sob of a ranking by search giant Google. Well, Yahoo and MSN may take lesser time, however not really less. When compared one can go with Pay-per-click advertisement than moving with SEO for better placement.</p>
<p align="justify">Another amazing method is article marketing, which actually newer way of search engine marketing. Here, you just need to write site related articles and submit it to other sites known as article directories. Webmasters for article directory sites you could publish an author byline comprising your name and a link to your website. Your site get huge benefit out of it, as after the article is submitted on websites, people would read your content and start clicking the link and in turn gives your site required traffic.</p>

<p align="justify">Pay Per Click has become a buzzword in the SEO industry. Moving along with PPC you can drive instant traffic in search engines, although being competitive. However, it is worth spending some quality time to learn how to write and target ads, track your competitors and to do keyword research analysis before jumping on to Pay per click advertisement.</p>
<h3>Marketing Metrics</h3>
<p align="justify">One can achieve a high trackable marketing medium if using Pay per click advertisement. First and foremost it is a poor idea to do marketing without knowing the approximate value of a click. You must know to set up a value range and to track the results to distinguish between good marketing and bad marketing. By deciding the goal of your marketing you can decide upon the value of click you require. If you are in PPC just for branding purpose than you would probably lose money and even tracking might not be important. On the other hand, when using pay per click advertisement for marketing purpose you required to know how much is the worth of each click.</p>
<h3>Conversion Ratio</h3>
<p align="justify">Usually the sites that are lead generating have conversion ratio of about 10 to 12%, yet may not go as high as 30% +. Only the properly targeted and superbly appealing to visitors may expect higher ratio. Since there is only little investment required to arrive at your website and lots others are just a click away selling stuff the web usually has a conversion rate same as direct mail advertising. Highly priced products have a lower conversion ratio and exclusive inexpensive products tend to have higher conversion rates. Many stores find classic conversion ratios might be anywhere from 3 to 4%.</p>
<h3>Problem Analysis</h3>
<p align="justify">There are several factors, which go into click price. It may be tricky to measure branding, but ad distribution could make help. Most things considered are tangible. If you are aware about your order size, profit per order, and likely conversion ration then you could get a good idea on what your clicks are worth. Some people as well feature in lifetime cost of a purchaser, but it is difficult to calculate and there is yet adequate chance in many markets to do your problem analysis initially based on direct return.</p>
<p align="justify">It is indeed a fine idea to look at the different competitors ads that are displayed in which order over time. The giant guy might be silly losing tons of money or a person who is paying a great premium for branding. If Pay per click advertisements is from affiliate marketers or smaller sites are ranking around the same ad place over the course of a few weeks to a month then they are perhaps doing something right (generating profits). It is important spend couple of weeks in doing keyword research and market analysis before jumping on to pay per click search engine marketing.</p>
