Most of us have home business opportunities right under our noses that we never exploit. Instead we spend good money on network marketing offers that don’t work or get-rich-quick schemes that are barely legal. In this article I outline tips for starting a home business on a shoestring budget that is bound to make 2006 profitable.

My snow business worked because it was obvious and filled a local need. It also had no overhead costs: my family already owned a snow shovel. The problem was its seasonality. And some winters had more snow than others. Ideally, you want to begin a business that has year-round potential.

First write down the things you enjoy doing and are good at. Yeah, I know, you’ve heard this one before and you can´t believe anyone is going to pay you because you like to fish. Wrong. One man built an incredible business based on his love of fishing. First he shared information about his favorite fishing spots. Before he knew it he was giving tours and fishing tips, all of which allowed him to quit his trucking job.

Add to that list skills you have that friends and family rely on. Maybe you´re good at carpentry or math or horseback riding or have a positive outlook on life that others enjoy. Include any talent you have, large or small, that draws people in. Be honest with yourself. False modesty gets you nowhere.

Now divide your list into two categories, goods and services. Some of your interests may suggest creating a simple product. Put that idea under "goods." Other interests, like shoveling snow, would fit comfortably under "services. Sometimes your idea might be listed under both categories.

For example, there are many examples of people with a gift for baking who began businesses simply by making and then selling pretzels or cookies. This then expanded into providing goods for local restaurants and bakeries. What has this home-grown baker done? He or she has created a good – the cookies or pretzels or whatever – and then also provided a delivery service.

Excluded Word Increase – Till last year December, Yahoo Search Marketing only permitted maximum of 50 excluded words at ad group levels and at the account. However, now due to the increased advertisers demand, the excluded word limit is been increased to 250 for both. It is expected that 250 exclude word limit will assist users to generate more traffic received using Advanced Match Type relevantly.

Campaign Tune-Up Alert – This feature is restricted only to the U.S market.

With Campaign tune-up option you can now get an alert at your dashboard whenever tune-up proposal is obtainable for viewing.

Once the proposal is accepted, the system would show a dashboard alert whenever there is an update on your Yahoo Search Marketing campaign.

In case if improbable event that an error happens in the conclusion of your campaign tune-up, that would certainly be sent to you via an alert on the dashboard page.

I was looking for a way to backup all my Internet Explorer Passwords. Today, I have got a solution for the same. Many thanks to Google Search.

Don’t Re-enter Your Password With Internet Explorer (IE)

Most of them may not know this – Internet Explorer could save your beloved passwords for different web pages, you are nowhere required to keep re-entering it. On the other hand, if your computer is as well shared with other users, such as family members, or you are frightened about security system, you could configure Internet Explorer not to save your passwords.

You could have this done with Internet Explorer 7 by using the below given simple steps.

Open Internet Explorer in your system.

Click on Tools and pick Internet Options.

Choose the on hand Content tab.

Click the Settings button in AutoComplete.

Clear the check box next to the User names and passwords on forms option.

Click OK.

Once this setting has been done, you are essential to re-enter your password every time you move to a fresh Web page as requires one.

Backup Your Internet Explorer Passwords

Internet Explorer stores the passwords here: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft
\InternetExplorer\IntelliForms\SPW

Open the Start menu click Run.
Write “regedit” and press Enter.
Click one time on the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder.
Click one time on the Software folder.
Click one time on the Microsoft folder.
Click one time on the Internet Explorer folder.
Click one time on the IntelliForms folder.
Click one time on the SPW folder.
You will now see a cryptic list in the right window.
You have already selected the SPW folder
Click File and choose Export.
Give it an appropriate name. Don’t call it passwords,
but use a name you will remember.
To restore the passwords just, right-click the .REG file and select Merge.

My favorite Web Browser is of course Microsoft Internet Explorer (now Windows Internet Explorer) due to it’s aesthetic appeal. It’s the world’s most popular Web Browser. But in fact Firefox is gaining it’s market share. According to Market Share by Net Applications, 14.88% of Internet users used Mozilla Firefox in September 2007, with 14.42% using version 1.5 or higher. I guess it’s because of Firefox’s simple design and because of less crash. I’m using Internet Explorer 7 on my Windows Vista and my IE crashes often it’s really not as reliable as Mozilla FireFox.

Now, let me tell you why I hate Mozilla Firefox. First of all I hate Firefox because of its look and interface. It lacks a professional touch. And then I don’t like the name "Mozilla Fifefox" as a brand name. Now, consider Internet Explorer 7 it has got an amazing look and I Love the brand name "Internet Explorer" which is a perfect name for a Web Browser. Again, Mozilla Firefox don’t have navigational sounds. It means it do not generate a ‘Click’ sound when we click a hyperlink.

Today I find a solution to one of the above problems and I take this opportunity to share that with you. I just discovered an AddOn for Firefox called <a title="A simple extension that plays the Windows OS start and end navigational sounds when pages start and finish loading (i.e. that " href="https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1030" target="_blank" link).?="link).?" a="a" click="click" you="you" when="when" IE="IE" from="from" click?="click?">Navigational Sounds which generates the ‘Click’ sound when you click a hyperlink.

Search Marketing now gives you more control of your account, by letting you specify websites in Yahoo’s partner distribution network on which you don’t want your ads to appear.

As you know, with Sponsored Search, your ads can appear in search results on Yahoo! and throughout our partner distribution network which includes Yahoo Publisher Network Sites. Similarly, if you opt in to Content Match, your ads can appear both on Yahoo! and our partners’ sites. With the new blocked domains feature, available today in your account, you can now specify websites in Yahoo! Network where you don’t want your ads to appear.

Blocked domains is just one part of Yahoo!’s work to improve the value of the traffic that they deliver to you. Well, as of now you can block your ads from only up to 250 Websites. I hope they increase that limit in the near term as it’s not enough.

Using Blocked Domains Is Easy:

Log into your account

Click on the “Administration” tab

In the Account General Information box, next to the “Blocked Domains” heading, click on “Submit Domains”

Block sites on your entire account

Complements pricing discounts

You cannot block any Yahoo! domains

View Web searching and browsing from a new perspective-3D. The free SpaceTime Beta 0.9 simplifies surfing by organizing items in a spatial way, as you would in the real world. Web pages appear as large thumbnails, one behind the next, in a visual stack that recedes into the distance. Pages browsed by URL go into a browsed-image stack. Search stacks show thumbnails of the results listing followed by the pages it cites. Every search produces another stack. Stack float on an invisible plane. Within a stack, you can quickly move back and forth using your mouse’s scroll button. You’ll also find navigation tools in a band below the stack area. Keyboard cursor arrows let you “fly” through the 3D environment or move stacks. Double-clicking on a thumbnail maximizes it into a browsable window.

With certain sites, the application can display search in its interface rather then as normal 2D Web pages. Currently this capability works with major search engines and a number of RSS feeds. SpaceTime’s eBay search integration is the most impressive. The software isn’t a full-blown browser, though, and it requires a pretty powerful Windows XP or Windows Vista PC (Mac and Linux versions are in progress), but it’s definitely worth checking out.

To become successful on the internet you must do something which has not been done before or you can do that in a different way that is better than what your competitor is doing or offering. Think about how you can generate revenue from your website but don’t make it your primary purpose of the site.

There are many successful websites out there and you can also become successful if you start the most useful site in your niche. Let’s say you want to start a website on “acne treatment”. Now find the number one result for your keywords on your favorite search engine. If you have more information than them, you will replace them gradually.

When you design your pages and write content make sure that they are written for people and not for the robots. Some sites fail just because they try to extract profits before creating a value. And many non-commercial websites makes more money than commercial sites, it happens as their sole purpose is service and not money.
